• IREDA and PNB Forge Strategic Partnership to Boost Renewable Energy Initiatives

  To support renewable energy initiatives across the country, the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. has taken a major step. IREDA and Punjab National Bank (PNB) have formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at IREDA's registered office in New Delhi today, setting the stage for collaborative efforts in co-lending and loan syndication tailored to a diverse array of renewable energy projects.

  On February 7, 2024, an outbreak of bird flu was reported in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, resulting in several broiler chickens dying. Further, diagnostic tests confirmed the presence of bird flu in the area.

• Fisheries Dept Partners with ONDC to Empower Fishermen through Digital Commerce

  The Department of Fisheries and the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in a major step toward modernizing and improving market access in the fisheries sector. The signing ceremony, graced by Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala and Minister of State Dr. L Murugan among other dignitaries, took place today in New Delhi.

• Government Increases Financial Aid for Rubber Sector by 23% to Rs 708.69 crore

  The government has announced an increase in funding to promote the rubber business. Under the ‘Sustainable & Inclusive Development of Natural Rubber Sector’, the financial aid has been raised by 23%, soaring from Rs 576.41 crore to Rs 708.69 crore for the upcoming two financial years, spanning 2024-25 and 2025-26.
