  • Netaji has become important for BJP in Bengal

    Marking the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the BJP is engaged in connecting with the sentiments of the people of West Bengal. The programme will continue for the whole year. This comes ahead of the high-voltage West Bengal Assembly polls later this year.

    The Modi government has set up a high-level committee to outline the programmes that will run throughout the year from January 23. The ruling Trinamool Congress plans to attack its arch rival BJP in the Bengal electoral battle.

  • Joe Biden sworn in as 46th US President

    US President-elect Joe Biden and Vice-President elect Kamala Harris were sworn in January 20. Joe Biden reached with his wife Dr Jill Biden, while Kamala Harris arrived with her husband Doug Emhoff. The official inauguration ceremonies took place at US Capitol in Washington.

  • Vaccine hesitancy quite high in Delhi-NCR, reveals survey

    According to a survey conducted by the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), about 20 per cent respondents are certain about not taking the Covid-19 vaccine.

    The NCAER released the results of Round 4 of its Delhi-NCR Coronavirus Telephone Survey (DCVTS-4) on Thursday. A significant rural (22.4%) and urban (17.5%) differences were observed. An additional 4% of respondents mentioned that they will not take it as they are already infected.

  • PM condoles loss of lives in Serum Institute fire

    The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the loss of lives in a fire at Serum Institute Pune. 

    In a tweet, Modi said "Anguished by the loss of lives due to an unfortunate fire at the @SerumInstIndia. In this sad hour, my thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives. I pray that those injured recover at the earliest."

  • Coal India arms NCL, CCL and WCL get the Coal Minister’s Award 2020

    Union Minister of Coal & Mines Pralhad Joshi presented “Coal Minister’s Award” tothree coal companies of Coal India Ltd. - Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL), Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL) and Western Coalfields Ltd (WCL) in a function held in New Delhi today. The award has been instituted to promote best and sustainable practicesfor coal mining in the country.

    Joshi also launched ‘Project Passion’–the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) of Coal India Ltd (CIL) whichwill help improve business performance and growth of the company with enhanced data integrity.

  • Union Education Minister chairs a meeting on participation of MGIEP in the Implementation of National Educational Policy -2020

    Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ chaired a meeting on participation of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) in the implementation of National Educational Policy -2020. 

    Secretary, Higher Education,  Amit Khare; Secretary, School Education & Literacy , Anita Karwal; Director, UNESCO, New Delhi, Eric Falt ; Chairman, MGIEP,  J.S. Rajput; Director, MGIEP,  Anantha Duraiappah and senior officials of the Ministry attended the meeting.
