  • India exporting more of Agricultural products

    India has exported from April 2020 till February 2021, Rs 2,740 billion worth of agri exports compared to Rs 2,310 billion in the same timeline previous year. Demand of Indian grains, spices, veggies, raw cotton has increased during the pandemic.

    A summit on climate, to be attended by leaders, is being organized from today. PM Modi will take part in this virtually held summit and will discuss climate issues with other world leaders, the problems and the potential solutions to these.

  • Over 300 Kg of cocaine seized at Thoothukudi

    A suspected container from Panama was searched and more than 300 Kg of cocaine was found in it. Following this interception, an international investigation has started to find who were the importing and exporting smugglers.

    Codex Committee on Spices and Culinary Herbs, is holding a session with participants from 50 countries. The session if focusing on quality of the herbs, their storage and supply.

    Protesting farmers have been accused of affecting the commuters through their blockade of highways. Now they are being accused of coming in the way of essential Oxygen supplies for Corona patients. The protesting farmers are claiming that this is a campaign to malign them. They said that they have allowed supply and movement of all essential items.

You don't need hospital beds if you can isolate yourself at home. They said that they have enough resources to handle any crisis. If you suspect minor symptoms, immediately go for the test. They repeated the message we now have head thousands of times "wear mask, sanitize and keep social distance". They said using the available medical resources judiciously will go a long way in this fight against the pandemic.

  • Southern ports face shortage of agricultural containers

    Southern ports of India, namely Kochi, Tuticorin, Chennai, Mangalore are still facing shortage of containers for export, even as other Indian ports have resolved their container problems though consistent efforts. Tea, Coffee and spices trade is on hold at the moment because of lack of containers to export them in.

  • Consumer Price Index indicates slight relief in prices for agricultural and rural workers

    Financial life for agricultural and rural workers has got slightly easier according to Consumer Price Index which indicated slight lowering in prices of the goods that these workers consume.
