Dr Mansukh Mandaviya Reviews Availability and Use of Fertilizers in India with States and UTs
Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Health & Family Welfare Dr Mansukh Mandaviya interacted with State Agriculture Ministers on the availability and use of fertilizers in the country today. During the meeting, he also reviewed the progress of nano urea, nano DAP and the promotion of alternate fertilizers at the field level and steps initiated by the States in this regard.

Farmer's Death Amidst Tensions Over Leader 'Detentions' in Sangrur
A man died after being hit by a tractor-trolley in Sangrur district. A clash between farmers and police led to injuries to at least five police men. The conflict arose from the detention of agricultural leaders. The victim was identified as a protesting farmer from the Longowal area, where police were trying to prevent the obstruction of a national highway and toll plaza.

The Soybean Processors Association of India has released the highly anticipated estimates of the Supply and Demand (S&D) of Soybean and Soybean Meal for the oil year 2022-2023 until July 2023 on August 21, 2023. The latest data showcases an extraordinary surge in soybean production, with a staggering total crop of 149.26 lakh tons during the period from October 2022 to September 2023. This remarkable figure marks an unprecedented 163% increase compared to the same period last season, leaving experts astonished at the agricultural prowess of India.
