  • Delhiites Ready to Welcome Monsoon This Week

    As the most-awaited monsoon season is round the corner, several parts of the National Capital will continue to receive pre-monsoon showers for next few days. Weather department said that for the next 2-3 days Delhi is likely to receive rough weather conditions as thunderstorm, heavy rainfall, lightning, and squall.

  • CBSE Exam 2020: Board to Announce its Decision Tomorrow

    Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE is likely to share its reply with the Supreme Court by 23rd June 2020 regarding its decision to cancel or hold the pending board exams. With the examinations scheduled to start from next week, worried parents have reached out to CBSE for response. Few students have also reached out to the board, asking them to cancel the pending exams or find out the 'best solution'. However, officials haven’t shared any hints as to the decision of CBSE.

  • Mizoram Earthquake News: 2 Powerful Quakes Damaged Houses & Roads 

    Mizoram has today waked up rattled after a second earthquake rocked the northeastern state in the time period of 12 hours. The back-to-back quakes have caused damage to houses & cracks on roads at various places in the state of Mizoram. According to official reports, no casualty was reported due to the earthquakes. The first quake was of 5.1 magnitude which hit the state on Sunday at 4 pm while the second one occurred at 4 am on Monday. The magnitude of the second earthquake was measured at 5.3 on the Richter Scale. As per the National Centre for Seismology, the epicentre of the quake earlier on monday was at Zokhawthar in Champhai district on the India-Myanmar border. 

  • Haryana to Deploy Final-Year MBBS Students for Covid Duty  

    Due to rising number of covid-19 cases, the Haryana government has said final-year MBBS students who are studying in government & private medical colleges will be deployed for effective management of the outbreak. Now, the death toll in Haryana on Sunday rose to 160 with 11 fresh fatalities, whereas the infection tally climbed to 10,635 as 412 more people tested positive for the coronavirus, said a health department bulletin. 

  • Indo-China Live Updates: India & China Corps Commanders meet again after Violent Clash  

    After the violent clash between India and China commanders at Galwan Valley, the second round of meeting between Corps Commanders of the Indian and Chinese armies is underway at the Chushul-Moldo border personnel meeting point in eastern Ladakh. The first meeting between Lt General Harinder Singh, Commander of the XIV Corps with his Chinese counterpart Maj General Liu Lin, Commander of South Xinjiang Military Region, had taken place on June 6 at the same place, says reports. 

  • Update on Fuel Price Hike: Diesel Breaks Previous Record 

    Oil marketing companies (OMC) have hiked the prices of petrol & diesel in India for the 16th day in a row. The OMCs has hiked petrol prices in Delhi by 33 paise per litre and Rs 79.23 per litre on 21 June to Rs 79.56 per litre. For diesel the fuel now costs Rs 78.55 per litre, which is 58 paise costlier than yesterday's price (21 June 2020) to Rs 78.27/litre. Now, the difference between a litre of petrol and diesel is just Rs 1.01. It is to be noted that diesel prices in India today touched a new all-time high breaking all its previous records. 

  • Mizoram Earthquake: PM Modi assures support from Centre 

    The northeastern state Mizoram has recently shaken by an earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale which hit  Champai district on early Monday morning, at around 4:10 am, said the National Center for Seismology (NSC). No damage was reported till now.
