Southern part of India to Receive Heavy Rainfall for next few days; Orange Alert Issued
As per latest weather forecasts, many states in southern India that includes Kerala, Tamil Nadu & South Karnataka continue is witnessing heavy rainfall. The region is likely to receive heavy rain along with thunderstorm and lightning for the next few days i.e. from Monday to Wednesday. Weather department has also issued Orange Alert over Kerala and South Interior Karnataka.

worst Coronavirus hit country with total cases reaching 42,04,613. After touching a new high on Saturday, breaching the 90,000 mark for the first time, more than 90,800 cases were detected on Sunday. -
Unlock 4.0: Metro Services Resume with Physical Distancing, Thermal Screening
The Centre, in its "Unlock 4.0" guidelines, allowed the gradual resumption of metro train services across the country from September 7. Barring Maharashtra, all states with metro connectivity began operations today in a limited manner. However, metro service in containment zones will remain closed as of now. After being closed for 5 months, metro service in Bangalore resumed on the Purple Line from Byappanahalli station at 8 am towards Mysuru Road and vice versa.

Indo- China Update: BJP's Ram Madhav Attends Tibetan Soldier's funeral
Amid the India- China border tension, the Indian Army, members of the Tibetan community and top BJP leader Ram Madhav paid their last respects in Leh this morning to Tibetan soldier Nyima Tenzin, who was from the once-secret Special Frontier Force (SFF) unit of Tibetan soldiers operating under the command of the Indian Army. He was killed in action last week after he stepped on a vintage landmine in South Pangong.

Need to Be Frightened Out of Complacency": Raghuram Rajan On GDP Numbers
In midst of the Corona crisis, the government and its bureaucrats need to be frightened out of their complacency and a stimulus is critical to prevent an "atrophied" economy, former RBI chief Raghuram Rajan has said in a post reacting to what he calls India's alarming -23.9 per cent quarterly GDP. Without relief measures, the growth potential of the economy would be "seriously damaged", he said, commenting that the government seemed to have retreated into a shell.
