Stubble mulch

By keeping as much of the preceding crop's residue—such as wheat, soy, or corn—on the soil's surface during fallow, stubble mulching helps reduce water and wind erosion. In dryland cropping systems, where residue cover helps keep moisture in the soil, this method is very helpful. After a cover crop, a crop rotation can also employ stubble mulching. The stubble mulch blade plow is made particularly to leave as much debris as possible on the field.
