The FICCI Taskforce on Fragrance has announced the second edition of the FICCI Fragrance Business Summit, which will be held in partnership with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The theme for this year is 'Emerging Sustainable Opportunities- Inclusive Growth of the Fragrance Industry,' and it will take place on October 5, 2023, from 9 a.m. at FICCI, Federation House, New Delhi.
The Summit will feature viewpoints from various government functionaries, industry CEOs, research institutes, standards bodies, and business associations from India and beyond on critical issues confronting the sector, as well as possibilities and challenges that lie ahead.
The fragrance and flavor industry is currently a crucial growing sector in the country. It has grown at an annual rate of 11% in recent years and contributes more than $500 million USD to a global market of USD 24 billion. In the following years, the industry is predicted to increase at a 15% annual rate.
Given the growing importance of this industry. Through this summit, FICCI and BIS hope to create a single venue for all essential stakeholders in the fragrance value chain to discuss fragrance safety, sustainability, education and skill enhancement, scaling up exports, and the regulatory environment.
