FICCI is organizing "Future of Rail Transport: New India@75, the 4th edition of Smart Railways Conclave” virtually on Friday, 11th March 2022. Railways play a crucial in the transportation of goods including farm commodities.
The National Rail Plan (NRP) plans to create a future-ready railway system by 2030 by building capacity and catering to future demand. For achieving this objective, Indian Railways, for the next few years will be working on a mission mode to deliver various supercritical and critical projects such as 100% electrification, multi-tracking of congested routes, up-gradation of speed at various routes and elimination of all Level Crossings on all GQ/GD route.
The 4th edition of Smart Railways Conclave will discuss the key initiatives taken by Indian Railways to embark on its transformation journey to create a future-ready railway system by 2030.
The objective is to bring together all major stakeholders across the value chain to explore, learn from best practices and engage in constructive dialogue towards the enhancement of railway infrastructure and formulate strategies based on both operational capacities and commercial policy initiatives to increase the modal share of the Railways in freight.
