Over the years, Chennai Region has grown and expanded embracing expatriates from across the world, Chennai and its neighboring districts have always been known for their rich history and heritage. Chennai has transformed from a historical trading city to a major industrial hub of South India.
The Region has developed as a center for automobile manufacturing and IT-ITES. A Sound infrastructure comprising a good network of roads, connectivity to the port, An international Airport, warehousing, and availability of land to scale up has helped to create new economic avenues. Currently, the economy is being driven by services, electronic hardware, and manufacturing sectors that maintain a perfect balance of overall growth and diversification.
The Confederation of Indian Industry has been playing an important role in the development of this region and has been working along with all the stakeholders in making the Chennai Region one of the most industrialized regions of India.
With the above in mind, CII Chennai Zone is organizing its Annual Session with a focus on “Building the Growth Drivers of Chennai Region’s Economy and its Future” on 25th February 2022. The Conference will be held on a virtual platform.
