CII is organising a Virtual Conference on Global Ayurveda Medical Travel Summit being held on 18 - 19 February 2021 on CII digital platform. The objective is to explore potential of Ayurveda in promotive, preventive and curative treatments both in India and Abroad. The platform will develop cohesive industry engagement with core cross sectoral policy, dialogues and strategic exchanges enabled through high profile plenary sessions and disruptor talks.
As we know that Ayurveda is practiced today all over the world and forms a very important part of wellness and wellness related travel to India. Ayurveda in medical travel is limited to massage and wellness treatments while the treatment for illness is often overlooked. It is imperative that we bring to the fore the preventive, promotive and curative aspects of Ayurveda. Indian Healthcare is one of the largest sectors in India both in terms of revenue and employment. This is also one of the many reasons why India has one of the most thriving healthcare tourism sectors in the world known not only for providing curative treatment of diseases but also preventive and promotive therapies offered by alternative medicine such as Ayurveda.
