National Arogya Fair 2024 promises to be a hub of knowledge exchange, celebration, and promotion of India's traditional healthcare systems.

Union Minister of Ayush and Shipping, Port Waterways Sarbanand Sonowal emphasized the rich legacy of Indian Traditional Medicine Systems during the National Arogya Fair. The event, organized by 'Shri Puran Chandra Gupta Smarak Trust' in collaboration with the Ministry of Ayush, is set to run from February 1 to February 4, 2024, at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi. The National Arogya Fair stands as a beacon, guiding the nation toward holistic well-being and the integration of ancient wisdom into modern healthcare practices.

‘Har din Har Ghar Ayush’ Campaign

Sonowal highlighted the significance of the National Arogya Fair in contributing to the advancement of the Ayush sector. He reiterated the essence of the 'Har din Har Ghar Ayush' campaign, designed to impart the benefits of Indian traditional medicine systems to the people. The Minister shared encouraging statistics, stating that out of the targeted 12,500 Ayush Health and Wellness Centres, over 9,000 have already been established within a little over nine years since the establishment of the Ministry of Ayush.

Ayush Flourishes: A Tree of Diverse Medical Systems

Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, likened Ayush to a flourishing tree under which various medical systems thrive. Speaking about the National Ayush Mission, he emphasized ongoing efforts to take Ayush to every district in the country. Kotecha highlighted advancements in research, with over forty thousand research publications in the Ayush Research Portal. Notably, he expressed satisfaction over the establishment of the Global Centre for Traditional Medicine in Jamnagar, Gujarat, by the World Health Organization.

The National Arogya Fair at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium serves as a dynamic convergence of India's healing traditions, embracing Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. This four-day event stands as a vibrant testament to the nation's diverse culture and historical legacy in healthcare, providing a platform to celebrate and showcase traditional systems of medicine.

Objectives and Highlights of National Arogya Fair 2024

The primary objective of the National Arogya Fair is to showcase the benefits and principles of Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. The event aims to create awareness and encourage the adoption of holistic health and wellness practices. It also fosters collaboration and knowledge-sharing among practitioners, experts, and enthusiasts while providing a space for business and vendors to promote products and services related to Ayush systems.

Key Highlights: Wellness Workshops, Seminars, and Cultural Programmes

The event features a range of activities, including wellness workshops, seminars, exhibitions on Ayurveda, Yoga, Yunani, Siddha, Naturopathy, and Homeopathy. Attendees can benefit from free health consultations and enjoy cultural programs showcasing the cultural richness intertwined with healthcare practices.

The National Arogya Fair saw the presence of distinguished personalities, including Union Minister Sarbanand Sonowal, Secretary Ministry of Ayush Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, DDG Ministry of Ayush Satyajit Paul, and Director of All India Ayurveda Institute Tanuja Nesri.
