The scheme is becoming more and more popular among the farming community. As per latest reports, the number of women beneficiaries is also increasing in the scheme.

PM Kisan Yojana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had released the last installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana on August 9. Over Rs 19,500 crore was transferred directly into the bank accounts of more than 9.75 crore farmers. The next installment will be released in December.

PM Kisan Becoming Popular Among Women Farmers

The scheme is becoming more and more popular among the farming community. As per latest reports, the number of women beneficiaries is also increasing in the scheme. Few years ago, only 15,000 women were getting money under PM Kisan scheme in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. But today more than 85,000 women are availing the benefits of this government scheme. Moreover 6.36 lakh farmers are taking benefits of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi in the district.

List of people who are not eligible for PM KISAN?

Here is a list of people who are not eligible for PM Kisan;

If someone in the farmer’s family pays tax, then he cannot take benefit of this scheme. Likewise, if a farmer is not using his agricultural land for farming but for other work then also he will not be eligible to enjoy the benefits of PM Kisan scheme. 

All superannuated or retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs.10,000 or above and professionals like doctors, lawyers, engineers, chartered accountants etc. also cannot apply for the scheme

Can Husband & Wife Together Take Benefit of PM Kisan Scheme

It must be noted that husband and wife together cannot enjoy the benefits of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. If the government finds both husband and wife taking benefit of this scheme then it will take strict action against them.

About the scheme

PM Kisan is a government scheme launched by the Central Government for the farmers. Under this scheme, Rs 6000 is transferred each year to the farmer's accounts in three equal installments of Rs 2000 each.
