Governments throughout the world have adopted a variety of dramatic measures to combat smuggling, including increased border security, stronger trade rules, and more international collaboration to dismantle criminal networks. However, smuggling is a big issue that requires prompt attention.
For many years, India has been a lucrative destination for smugglers and one of the most significant victims of their illegal activities. FICCI CASCADE designated February 11th as Anti-Smuggling Day to highlight the vital issue of smuggling and to reiterate our commitment to raising awareness.
This day aims to bring all stakeholders together to jointly understand the scope of the problem and to explore possibilities for improved cooperation and coordination. The program will focus on the scope of the problem and will serve as a forum for raising awareness and forming alliances to combat the negative effects of smuggling.
