  • “India Ranks 1st, Contributes 24% of Global Milk Production”: Parshottam Rupala

    Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, told the Lok Sabha on February 7 that India is the world's largest milk producer, accounting for 24% of global milk production in 2021-22. "According to production data from the Food and Agriculture Organization Corporate Statistical Database (FAOSTAT), India is the world's largest milk producer, accounting for 24% of global milk production in 2021-22," the minister said in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.

    The Punjab government has appointed chairman of 6 boards and corporations and chiefs of 7 market committees. Harchand Singh Barsat, General Secretary of AAP, has been appointed as chairman of the Punjab Mandi Board and Rajvinder Kaur Thiara, women leader from Jalandhar, has been appointed as chairman of the Punjab State Container and Warehousing Corporation.

     

  • Garuda Aerospace Drones to Support NDRF Rescue & Relief Operations in Earthquake-Hit Turkey

    To help with the ongoing relief and rescue efforts in Turkey, which have left thousands dead and thousands missing, the NDRF has asked Garuda Aerospace to provide DGCA-approved drones for disaster management operations. Garuda Aerospace will use their Droni Drone for surveillance in the most affected areas to identify where victims may be trapped under rubble piles, as well as a modified -Kisan Drone to transport emergency medicines, supplies, and food to victims.
