"Spice Exports to Increase 6.5% per year Based on Demand Projections," says Spices Board Secretary
Over the last two years, India's spice exports have surpassed $4 billion, and demand is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.5%. According to D. Sathiyan, Spices Board Secretary, this presents a huge opportunity for exports. Spice exports account for approximately 10% of agricultural exports and 40% of horticulture sector exports. According to him, India's exports account for only 15% of total production, with the remainder consumed in the domestic market.

AIIA & AIST Japan Sign MoU to Promote Research Collaboration in Ayurveda
All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), India's apex Ayurvedic institute under the Ministry of AYUSH, and Japan's National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) have signed an MoU for academic collaboration. AIST is a well-known and one of Japan's largest public research organisations, focusing on technologies and "bridging" the gap between innovative technological seeds and commercialization.

PM Kisan 12th Installment: Just 7 Days Left; Check Beneficiary List & Account Status
According to an official statement released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the much-awaited 12th installment of PM Kisan Yojana during Agri-startup Conclave & Kisan Sammelan on 17 & 18 October 2022. During the event, PM Modi may also speak to a few farmers.

Govt Launches Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups with Rs 10 Crore Ceiling
The union government announced on Friday the launch of the Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups (CGSS) to increase the availability of collateral-free loans to startups amid tightening liquidity conditions in the nation. This is happening as funding for Indian companies has drastically decreased this year. According to some estimates, funding for startups dramatically decreased, from $4.6 billion in January 2022 to $885 million in August.
