Bhumi Samvaad IV: National Conf on Digitizing & Georeferencing India with Geo-Aadhaar (ULPIN) to be Organized on March 17th
Department of Land Resources is organizing the National Conference - Bhumi Samvaad IV on implementation of Unique Land Parcel Identification Number (ULPIN) or Bhu-Aadhaar on 17th March 2023 in New Delhi. The chief guest will be Giriraj Singh, Union Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj. "Digitizing and Geo-Referencing INDIA with Bhu-Aadhaar (ULPIN)" is the theme of the National Conference.

TN Farmers Seek Support from Odisha Agriculture Minister
On Thursday, Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment minister Ranendra Pratap Swain met with a delegation of Tamil Nadu All Farmers Organization Coordination Committee led by its leader PR Pandian at Krushi Bhawan, Bhubaneshwar. The delegation members talked about issues that affect the farming community nationwide.

Yogi Govt to Provide Financial Help to Start Millet Outlets
Announcing the financial assistance for opening the millet stores and outlets in Uttar Pradesh by Yogi Government, the state government has proffered subsidies to run these mobile outlets and open millet stores in cities. Yogi Government under the Uttar Pradesh Millets Revival Programme would be given Rs 10 lakhs and Rs 20 lakhs to the mobile outlets and for opening the millet stores respectively. These stores and mobile outlets will be selling all varieties of coarse grains including barley, millet, and other such varieties.

West Bengal Demands Permission for Poppy Cultivation
On Thursday, Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee said that she has a discussion with the Centre to allow poppy cultivation in Bengal. While addressing the assembly, Banerjee said that the people of the state should also be able to enjoy the delicacies made from poppy seeds. In Bengal, the poppy or ‘posto’ prices are high because it is not produced in the state and is only cultivated in a few regions.

“Stubble Burning Incidents Reduced By 48% in Haryana,” says Agriculture Minister
Stubble burning in Haryana decreased by 48% between October last year and January 2023, compared to the same period in 2021-2022, according to state agriculture and farmers' welfare minister Jai Parkash Dalal, who added that the Manohar Lal Khattar-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is confident of meeting its "zero burning" target.
