• COVID-19 Updates: India reports less than 40K Daily New Cases  

  India has registered less than 40,000 daily new cases after six days. The number of daily new cases in the last 24 hours is 38,073. For the third day in a row, daily new cases have been sustained below the 50,000 marks. 

• Delhi Air Pollution: No quick recovery forecast, says Centre  

  The Ministry of Earth Sciences on Tuesday said that no quick recovery from the severe air pollution is in sight unless the wind speed improves and moisture content declines in the National Capital Region. 

  The national capital has been recording severe category air quality since the last six days. Delhi's air quality index stood at 488 micrograms per cubic meter at noon, almost touching the hazardous category 

• Bihar election results: Close fight on 38 seats with less than thousands vote difference 

  After four rounds of counting for the 243 seats in the Bihar Assembly elections today, 38 constituencies are witnessing a very close fight between the NDA and the Grand Alliance.  There is a gap of fewer than 1,000 votes between the leading and the first trailing candidate in these seats. In some seats, the difference is less than 50 votes. In such a situation, everyone is keenly watching the results of these seats. 

• Market climbs new highs, net FII inflow crosses Rs 14k crore in just 3 days 

  The Indian equity market has been on a fresh record run of late backed by a surge in foreign institutional investments (FII). In the past three days alone, net FII inflow in the Indian capital markets stood at Rs 14,786.57 crore. 

• PM to unveil statue of Swami Vivekananda at JNU campus on 12th November 2020 

  Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil the life-size statue of Swami Vivekananda at the campus of Jawaharlal Nehru University on 12th November at 6:30 PM via video conferencing. Union Minister for Education will also be present on the occasion. 

   

• MP By-Election Result 2020: BJP leading by-elections in MP  

  The ruling BJP in Madhya Pradesh is leading in 20 of the 28 Assembly constituencies for which byelections were held while the Congress is ahead in seven seats, as per the trends of counting on Tuesday.  The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is leading in Morena constituency. However, three ministers in the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government including Aidal Singh Kansana (Sumaoli), Girraj Dandotia (Dimani),OPS Bhadoria (Mehgaon), are trailing behind their Congress rivals. 

• IPL 2020 Finale: MI vs DC at 7: 30 pm onwards today 

  Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on Delhi Capitals (DC) in the IPL final 2020 in Dubai today. Head-to-head i.e. 27 matches - MI 15| DC 12 - The two teams have faced each other 27 times in the IPL so far.

  Transgender rights activist Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, who has watched the upcoming horror comedy Laxmii starring Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, says the film represents the transgender community very respectfully, adding that people spreading negative vibes over the issue should watch the film before passing a judgment.
