  • PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: Government Removes Ineligible Farmers from the List

    The Centre on Friday said as there were many duplicate entries in the list of PM Kisan beneficiaries, they had to be removed. The statement comes after strong opposition from farmers as well as Opposition leaders over reduction in the flagship scheme. The government clarified that every eligible beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi will continue to get benefits of the scheme and hence virtually there is no cut in the budget.

  • Agri Exports Grow By 12.6% in First 3 Quarters to Reach Record USD 20 Billion

    According to the latest data, agricultural produce exports through the APEDA reached a record $20 billion in the first three quarters of the current fiscal year, representing a 12.6% increase year on year, driven by higher global commodity prices and the farm sector's resilience. According to the latest data from the APEDA, exports of pulses increased by 92% and fresh vegetables increased by 25%, while, exports of basmati rice increased by 16% in value terms, owing primarily to demand from the US, UAE, and China.

     

  • UPGIS-2023: Tata, Aditya Birla Group, Reliance to Invest Over Rs 1 lakh crore in Uttar Pradesh

    Over the next four years, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani will invest Rs 75,000 crore in rolling out 5G mobile telephony services, expanding retail networks, and establishing renewable energy capacity. Similarly, Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla stated that his company has committed Rs 25,000 crore in investment in the state across its various businesses including cement, metals, chemicals, financial services, and renewable energy.
