IMD Issues Orange & Yellow in 6 Districts
The India Meteorological Department issued orange alert for 6 districts for, 12, 13 & 14 October and have predicted heavy rains. The weather department have forecasted and issued orange alert in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Kollam, Idukki & Ernakulam districts for 3 days. Also, a yellow alert has also been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Malappuram, and Kozhikode & Palakkad districts. Currently, the southern districts of the states have been put on a Yellow alert. As heavy rains is likely to occur over at 1 or 2 places in Kerala on 10th& 11thOctober.

Kisan Rail Service Carries 264 Tons of Potatoes
The officials of North Central Railways said that the Kisan Rail service run from Agra to Assam’s Jorhat in order to transport 264 tons of potatoes. A total of around 264 tons of potatoes were packed in 5,160 bags and were carried by train, which started from Agra’s Yamuna Bridge Railway Station on 9th October (Saturday).

7th Consecutive Hike in Petrol & Diesel
The prices of petrol & diesel were hiked across the country for 7thconsecutive day. In the National Capital, the prices of petrol & diesel were hike by Rs 0.30 & Rs 0.35 respectively and In Mumbai, the prices of petrol is Rs 110.41 litre & the price of diesel is costs Rs 101.03 litre. Petrol price at Rs 105.09 has become costlier in Kolkata and the prices of diesel are at Rs 97.59.

States Over Southern Peninsular India Likely to Receive Rainfall
The India Meteorological Department said that the cyclonic circulation lies over Andaman Sea & neighborhood and extends up to the mid tropospheric level. A low pressure area is likely to form over same region in the next 36 hours and is also likely to move west northwestwards and towards south Odisha, north Andhra Pradesh coasts during the subsequent 4 to 5 days.
