  • Government to invest more in North East, to encourage Organic Farming

    Indian Government has increased its per year investment in North East to Rs. 200 Crores under MOVCDNER Scheme. The scheme which had covered almost 75,000 hectare of land, now aims to bring another 1 Lac hectare of land under Organic farming. This scheme aims to improve the quality of produce and improve the farming conditions. It will also provide processing facilities and access to overseas markets.

  • 11 projects worth Rs. 2560 lakhs under NBHM

    Indian government has allocated Rs. 500 crore to NBHM for next three years to develop scientific Bee Keeping in the country. NBHM is aiming for the "Sweet Revolution" implemented by National Bee Board. It will generate employment and improve the earnings of farmers. It will improve the infrastructure for Bee Keeping through setting up of Labs and Centres and provide training.

    In addition, 11 projects of Rs. 2560 lakhs have been sanctioned under NBHM

     

  • Mahapanchayats the next step by agitating farmers

    The issues related to the three farms laws, for which the farmers are protesting, have yet not been resolved. Despite the duration and different methods adapted by the agitating farmers, government has not taken any action that will please these farmers. The farmers plan to continue agitating and are planning mahapanchayats India-wide to decide what steps to take next and how to bring the Government back to negotiating table.

  • Bioprime Agrisolutions Pvt Ltd, awarded the best Agri Startup

    FICCI has declared Bioprime Agrisolutions Pvt Ltd, the best Agri Startup in Industry Partnership section, this year at the virtually held awards. The startup is working towards improving the weather adaptation abilities of the crops and has  succeeded in some rain affected areas.  Emerging Agri Innovator winner award went to  Farm2Fork Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

  • Food grains evenly distributed in lockdown

    During the lockdown period food grains were rationed to the general public as well as to migrants/ stranded migrants under various government schemes. The total stock of food grains in the Central Pool as on 01.01.2021 was 529.59 lakh tons consisting of 342.90 lakh tons of wheat and 186.69 lakh tons of rice.

  • Central storage capacity is sufficient for food grains

    The combined capacity of Food Corporation of India and State agencies is 819.19 LMT which is more than sufficient for the current total stocks of 529.59 LMT.

  • Farmers to protest for unlimited period

    Farmer's agitation leaders are willing to protest for unlimited period. The farmers are not willing to back down and will protest till their demands are met.
