  • Farmers in Kerala Lost Crops worth Rs. 261 Crores Due to Unseasonal Summer Rain

    Thiruvananthapuram: The unseasonably warm weather and wind gusts that have slammed Kerala in recent days have wreaked havoc on crops throughout the state. Crops on 11,109.25 hectares were destroyed in the last 11 days, resulting in losses of Rs 261.190 crore, according to data from the Agricultural Department. Officials estimate that 52,361 farmers have been impacted.

  • Cabinet is likely to consider increasing the fertilizer subsidy
