• Amit Shah Laid Foundation Stone of IFFCO Nano DAP (Liquid) Plant at Gandhidham, Gujarat

  Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, inaugurated the ceremony of the IFFCO Nano DAP (Liquid) Plant in Gandhidham, Gujarat. This event took place on August 12, with the presence of various dignitaries including IFFCO Chairman, Dileep Sanghani. Amit Shah underlined the visionary goal of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to uplift 15 crore farmers across the nation through the concept of ‘Sahkar se Samridhi’ (Prosperity through Cooperation), which led to the establishment of the Ministry of Cooperation.

  Wheat is considered the second most important cereal crop in India and plays a dynamic role in the food and nutritional security of the country. About 55% of the world’s population depends on wheat for 20% of calorie intake in their body. However, the diverse environmental conditions in India can disrupt its production such as in Punjab and Haryana which lost almost 12-20% of their wheat crop due to excessive heat and untimely rain.

• Mega Oil Palm Plantation Drive Organized in 11 States To Help Farmers Become Atmanirbhar In Edible Oils Production

  The Mega Oil Palm Plantation Drive was organized under the National Mission on Edible Oils – Oil Palm, State Governments along with Oil Processing companies. The drive began on July 23, 2023, and concluded on August 12, 2023, covering 49 districts in 11 states. Several dignitaries including senior political leaders, department officials, and gram panchayat members also graced the series of events that were conducted as part of the Pan-India Mega Oil Palm Plantation Drive.
