  • Uttar Pradesh CM suffering from Corona

    Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh has been tested positive for Corona and is now in isolation. However, he has not stopped his virtual activities. He got himself tested because he was suffering from some of the symptoms.

  • Prime Minister tweets greetings on Poyla Boishakh

    Poyla Boishakh is being celebrated all across West Bengal. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has greeted all citizens of the state on this festival which announces the arrival of new year for the state.

  • Mild rainfall expected over northern India

    Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat will see mild rainfall over some of their regions.  Western Himalayas will see rain and thunder till 17th of April.

  • "Tika Utsav" a success

    The "Tika Utsav", organized from 11th rill 14th April saw a rise in number of vaccination centers and vaccine administered. It's biggest success was in getting a million more Indians to be vaccinated on Sunday.

  • Microsoft to invest in technology for farmers

    About 100 villages will be provided technology by an association between the government and Microsoft for period of a year. Digitalizing agriculture will improve life of the farmers, is the belief of PM Narendra Modi.

  • India and Sri Lankan scientists to work jointly on projects

    India and Sri Lankan scientists are to work together on food technology and plant-based medicines. They will research jointly and develop solutions with their innovative ideas.

  • China looking for alternatives to animal feed as corn prices soar

    China mostly uses corn to feed its pigs and poultry. Rise in prices of corn and low stocks are forcing the Chinese to look for alternatives like wheat which is already preferred food for animal feed. Wheat is usually more expensive than corn, but at the moment its cheaper in China. Soymeal is lower in demand due to all this as soymeal is mixed with corn and then fed to animals, and as there is no demand for corn so soymeal is not required. Another reason for lower need for animal feed is lower number of pigs due to African swine fever in China.

  • NIFTY rises as government approves vaccines

    Indian government has agreed to research and use of foreign vaccines in India. This has boosted the confidence of the business community leading to positive reactions in the Stock Exchanges like NIFTY.

  • Weekend Corona Curfew in Delhi

    Delhi government has ordered Curfew over Delhi, Indian capital with effect from Friday evening, lasting till Sunday night. The reason for this is to limit social gatherings over the weekend which lead to spread of infections. Although the population is taking all precautions including social distancing but sudden spikes in cases throughout last week have forced Delhi Government's hand.

  • Protest site on Delhi-Jaipur road empty

    Delhi-Jaipur protest site is now empty as the protestors have deserted. The reason for this is that the farmers have gone to harvest their crops for two weeks and will be back soon, according to those farmers still protesting. Their make shift camps have been hit hard by sand storms and they will need plenty of water for the summer when they return to protest.
