  • PM Modi inaugurated the Bundelkhand Expressway in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bundelkhand Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Jalaun district on Saturday. "The Bundelkhand Expressway is a living representation of the region's progress." It would give the region a new identity and pave the way for industrial development," Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said.

     

  • Flood Warnings Have been Issued to Residents of the Erode Region Who Resides Near the Cauvery River

    On Saturday, the Erode district government issued a flood alarm to individuals living alongside river banks and in low-lying regions due to the discharge of 50,000 cusecs of surplus water from Stanley Reservoir in Mettur into River Cauvery. With the reservoir's inflow remaining at 1.15 lakh cusecs and the outflow expected to be raised in stages, authorities have issued warnings to residents in Nerinjipettai, Bhavani, Karungalpalayam, and Kodumudi.

     

  • The Agriculture Infrastructure Fund Received Proposal Worth Rs. 23,000 Crores from the Centre

    Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar said on Friday that the Centre has received proposals for an investment of Rs 23,000 crore under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF). The AIF, which was established in 2020, seeks to provide a medium-long term debt financing facility through 2025-26 for investment in suitable projects for post-harvest infrastructure and community farming assets through interest subvention and financial support.

  • Shah Encourages ARDBs to Lend Long-Term Loans to the Agriculture Sector

    Amit Shah, Minister of Cooperation, has proposed that the Agricultural and Rural Development Banks (ARDBs) make additional long-term loans to the agriculture industry. This includes funding for irrigation projects as well as other infrastructure. On Saturday, he stated that cooperative banks should prioritize lending to develop irrigated land in the country.

  • Delhi Government and IARI Join Hands to Provide Agriculture Training from August

    From August, the Delhi government, in collaboration with the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, will provide training to individuals in urban gardening for self-consumption and as an entrepreneurial endeavor. An official statement stated on Friday that Delhi Environment, Development, and General Administration Minister Gopal Rai convened a review meeting with environment department officials and Krishi Vigyan Kendra about the strategy to encourage urban gardening.
