6th Africa Agri Expo to Kick Off in Kenya in February 2023

Hyderabad-based Marut Drones Demonstrates Agri Multi Utility Drone Platform AG 365 to PM Modi
The conclave that was inaugurated by PM Modi on Monday, 17 October is likely to witness 13,500 farmers and around 1500 Agri Start-ups from across the country. The Sammelan will also witness the participation of researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders. The Marut Drones team demonstrated their Agri Multi utility drone platform AG 365 and interacted with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in PM Kisan Sammelan which is being organized by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare at IARI Mela Ground, Pusa, New Delhi.

Industry Leaders Discuss Methods to Make Agriculture Profitable at the Agri Startup Conclave 2022
The ongoing Agri Startup Conclave 2022, inaugurated by PM Modi yesterday held five conferences throughout the day where prominent personalities from the agriculture sector discussed burning topics regarding the farmers and the industry. During the ‘Startups Solving Problems of the Agricultural Value Chains’ conference, one of the lead speakers, Sachin Nandwana, Co-founder and Director of Big Haat said that raw agricultural materials do not give many benefits and that value addition is necessary to make agriculture profitable.

Farmers, Scientists & Industrialists Gather at Pantnagar Kisan Mela 2022
This Krishi Mela will provide a platform for farmers, farm scientists, Agribusiness & Agro-industrial firms for sharing their experiences and information about the latest agriculture technology. At the fair, various products, such as tractors, combine harvesters, power tillers, planters, irrigation machines and other modern equipment, insecticides, pesticides, fertilizers, etc will be displayed. Firms sell their products and provide technical information to the farmers by setting up their stalls.

Government Increases MSP for 6 Rabi Crops Including Wheat, Mustard
A meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the decision to increase the MSPs of six crops. It is important to mention that the minimum support price is the rate at which the government purchases grain from farmers. At present, the government sets MSPs for 23 crops grown in Kharif as well as rabi seasons. The sowing of rabi (winter) crops starts in October, soon after the harvesting of Kharif (summer) crops.
