Karnataka to provide 25 Lac new tap connections
Karnataka state government will provide 25 Lac new tap connections in rural areas by March next year. This will provide more time to the population for other activities which otherwise would have been taken up in fetching the water, and not in enough quantity from great distances.

Railways gears up for supply of medical oxygen
Railways is getting ready to supply medical oxygen through tankers and cylinders, full of medical oxygen to the states in need. Trials have been conducted to test the safety of transport of these through railways at great distances. Oxygen is required for some of the Corona cases.

Masks now mandatory on all trains and railway premises
Fines will be imposed on individuals not wearing masks in trains or in railway premises. These measures have been taken due to increasing cases of Corona.

Mexican president suggests ways to curb immigration to USA
Mexican president plans to suggest a scheme to USA which he says will curb immigration from Mexico and other Latin American countries to USA. He said that USA needs to make small investments in the Latin American countries which will generate employment for youth there and those successful could be offered visa to USA.

Frost hit farm owners to be compensated by French government
This winter due to the problem of cold and frost, the farms and farmers have suffered from great losses. The government is planning to help these farmers by offering a billion euro in aid to these farmers.

Another week-long curfew to be imposed on Delhi
Delhi government is planning to impose another curfew from tonight to be extended till next Monday. The government has been forced into considering another curfew due to the increase in rise of positive Corona cases and Corona deaths.

British PM, Boris Johnson, cancels his visit to India
Boris Johnson, the British prime minister will not be able to come to India next week for his scheduled trip due to the Corona threat. He was invited by India for the republic day parade as the chief guest but turned it down due to the same reason.

Indian government funds COVID vaccines
Due to shortage in availability of COVID vaccines, the government will be providing SII, Rs 30 billion, to produce enough vaccines to fight the virus.

China's corn imports keep increasing
China's imports have more than quadrupled compared to imports in last year. China has imported 6.73 million tonnes of corn so far this year.

PM Modi yet to reply to Chautala's letter on talks with farmers
Haryana's deputy CM Chautala sent a letter to PM Modi requesting him for talks with the farmers. However, PM Modi has not yet replied and the government doesn't seem to be too keen on talks as the farmers are not shifting from their protests aims.
