  • Rajasthan Govt to Provide Interest-Free Crop Loans Worth Rs 22,000 Crore in 2023-24

    A plan to offer Rs 22,000 crore as interest-free agriculture loans has been developed by the state government for the year 2023–2024. An official of the agriculture department said that under this scheme, 3.5 million farmers are expected to get benefits. The state government is expected to spend Rs 1,000 crores as interest subsidy. The loans will be offered by cooperative banks. According to Cooperative Minister Udaylal Anjana, 2.971 million farmers received payments of Rs 19,740 crore in 2022–2023 as against to a target of Rs 20,000 crore. 

  • Israel Collaborates With India on Water Technology Center

    The Government of Israel is partnering with India through the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) to set up an ‘India - Israel Center of Water Technology’ (CoWT) in Water Resources Management and Water Technologies at IIT Madras. Manoj Joshi, Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India, Prof. V. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, and Mr. Naor Gilon, Ambassador of Israel to India, signed a letter of intent in the presence of Mr. Eli Cohen, Ambassador of Israel to India, and S. Jaishankar Minister of External Affairs of India on May 9, 2023..

  • Union Minister Tomar Launches Tripura's Exquisite Organic Pineapples in Delhi

    The Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar, on Thursday, May 18, officially introduced the renowned organic queen pineapple of Tripura during an event held in Delhi. Other eminent personalities were also present at the event, including Ratan Lal Nath, the Minister of Agriculture, Farmers' Welfare, Energy, and Parliamentary Affairs from Tripura.   • UK Commits to 45000 Seasonal Agricultural Worker Visas
