  • President Droupadi Murmu Launches Fourth Krishi Road Map of Bihar

    The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, inaugurated the fourth Krishi Road Map (2023-2028) for the state of Bihar on October 18, 2023, in an event held in Patna. During her address, President Murmu emphasized the significance of agriculture in the cultural and economic landscape of Bihar.

  • Climate Crisis Threatening Marine Life as Asian Countries Face High Risk, Scientists Warn

    According to them, by 2100 the highest proportion of fish species—86%— within the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the Asian nations is likely to be at high or critical climate risk, compared to 77% in North America, 73% in Oceania and 71% in Africa.  By this period, ‘the greatest proportion of high or critical risk species is likely to be in the Indian high seas with 56% followed by 42% in the North Pacific oceans’, they said.

  • Department of Agricultural Research and Education Launches Special Campaign 3.0

    Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and its subordinate organisations, including Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) including Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) and its regional offices; Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) and three Central Agricultural Universities (CAUs) and their colleges are participating in the Special Campaign 3.0 driven by the Government of India.

  • Centre Increases MSP of Wheat by Rs 150, List of Rabi Crops with Increased MSP in 2024-25

    The Central government announced a surge in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of wheat by Rs 150 on October 18, 2023. For the 2023-25 marketing season, the MSP per quintal will be Rs 2,275. This increase in MSP prices is the highest after the advent of the BJP government in 2014.
