• BASAI's Annual General Meeting 2023 Highlights the Need for Sustainability of Agri Biologicals

  Biological Agri Solutions Association of India (BASAI) organized its Annual General Meeting on September 18, 2023, at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, to address various challenges faced by the Bio Agri Industry in the country and globally. Eminent industry experts and dignitaries from the agri-biological sector attended the Annual General Meeting of BASAI. During the event, Krishi Jagran’s Founder, MC Dominic and Managing Director, Shiny Dominic, were honored by BASAI's Chairperson, Juzar Khorakhiwala, for their significant contributions to the agriculture industry spanning three decades.

• Mutual Fund Nomination Deadline Nears, Update Details To Avoid MF Folios From Frozen

  The deadline for updating nomination information for your mutual fund (MF) investments is of September 30, 2023. However, a number of investors have yet to complete this important task. According to data from the Registrar and Transfer Agent (RTA) CAMS, there are approximately 25 lakh PAN holders who have not updated their nomination details. This implies that these PAN holders have not yet designated a nominee or opted out of the nomination for their MF portfolios. If you don't update your nomination in a timely manner, your mutual fund folios will be temporarily restricted from conducting debit transactions. This means you won't be able to withdraw funds or redeem investments from these accounts.

• FSSAI Initiates Survey on Milk and Milk Products in 766 Districts, Report to be Submitted by December

  The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has launched a comprehensive nationwide surveillance study on milk and milk products in a concerted effort to combat adulteration in these essential food items. This initiative, which commenced this month, is scheduled to run until October, with the regulatory body expected to present its findings to the Health Ministry by December. FSSAI Advisor (Quality Assurance) Satyen K Panda provided insights into the ambitious project.The surveillance study is planned to encompass a vast geographic area, spanning 766 districts throughout India. Over the course of the study, a staggering 10,000 samples will be meticulously collected for analysis. To ensure the thoroughness and accuracy of the investigation, two reputable agencies have been enlisted for this critical mission.

• UP International Trade Show 2023 In Noida, Schools To Shut On Sept 21 & 22

  In Gautam Buddha Nagar district, two major events are happening simultaneously: the 'UP International Trade Show 2023' at the Greater Noida Expo Centre from September 21 to 25, 2023, and the 'Moto GP India Grand Prix' at the Buddha International Circuit in Greater Noida from September 22 to 24, 2023. To accommodate the expected high number of visitors and ensure minimal disruption for students and parents, the district authorities have announced school holidays. On September 21, schools will close early at 2:00 pm, and on September 22, all schools from nursery to Class 12 will remain closed, as per the official notice issued by the District Magistrate.

This significant event will take place in New Delhi and will be attended by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar. One of them is the Kisan Rin Portal (KRP), a digital platform developed in collaboration with various government departments.
