  • IMD Predicts heavy rain in these states till 5th September

    Indian Meteorological Department has issued a fresh weather update, regarding heavy rainfall in many states till 5th September. The department has said that heavy rainfall is likely over the south Gujarat Region, Saurashtra & Kutch during the next 24 hours. Localized flooding of roads, inundation and waterlogging in low-lying areas and closure of the underpasses mainly in Urban areas is expected.

  • Farmers of Gujarat Relieved as the state finally receives rain

    In a major relief to the farmers and the government of Gujarat, heavy rains were received in Gujarat’s 126 Talukas on Tuesday. IMD has said that the state is expected to witness significant showers in the next five days. This rain has come as a major relief to the farmers of the state.

  • Agriculture Sector Remains Strong during Pandemic, as per the latest GDP figures

    The Indian agriculture, forestry & fishing industry has continued its trend of defying the slowdown caused due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 Pandemic, the latest figures to compute India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) showed. Agriculture was the only sector to grow for April- June FY 21 among eight used to compute India’s GDP.

  • Dairy Farmers likely to hit Hard by Centre’s Taxation Plan

    Centre Government plans to tax dairy cooperatives receiving more than 400 litres of milk a day is likely to affect the earnings of the farmers. Around 2 Lakh Dairy Farmers will be affected if the plan is implemented. Most of the farmers are already in crisis and compromising their bonuses would be hard for them.

  • IIT Ropar’s Start up introduces world’s first Plant based Smart air Purifier “UbreatheLife”

    Scientists of IIT Ropar & Kanpur and the Faculty of Management Studies of Delhi University have developed a living plant based air purifier “Ubreathe Life” that amplifies the air purification process in the indoor spaces. These indoor spaces can either be hospitals, schools, offices and your Homes. IIT Ropar’s startup company, Urban Air Laboratory that has developed the product claims it to be the world’s first, state-of-the-art ‘Smart Bio-Filter’ that can make breathing fresh.

  • Women & Child Development Minister inaugurates NUTRI GARDEN at All India Institute of Ayurveda

    Initiating series of programs under month-long poshan Maah 2021, Smriti Zubin Irani, Women & Child Development Minister said that the need of the hour is to provide the knowledge about how the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda intervention can be effectively utilized to address the nutrition requirement of the nation.
