PM Narendra Modi Applauds 'Lakhpati Didi' Chanda Devi, Asks to Contest Elections
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, December 17, 2023, asked one of the beneficiaries of Lakhpati Didi scheme, Chanda Devi, to contest elections as her speech was so good. PM Modi attended the two-day event, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, where beneficiaries shared their experiences on the theme of 'Meri Kahani Meri Zubani'.

Rathnamma Gundamanttha, a visionary women farmer from Srnivasapura taluk in Kolar was honoured with the "Richest Farmer of India" Award by M C Dominic, Founder and Editor in Chief and Shiny Dominic, Managing Director of Krishi Jagran. Ratnamma practises mixed farming, with cereals in one acre of her land and sericulture, among others. She informed the team of Krishi Jagran that she has recieved a five-day training in KVK Kolar and that it is helpful for her business.

SKRAU and Dhanuka Agritech Limited Sign MoU for Promotion of Agriculture
Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner, and Dhanuka Agritech Limited signed an MoU on Saturday with the aim of soil management in agriculture, availability of quality seeds, plant protection, better increase in crop production and easy access to innovations in agriculture. Giving this information, Research Director Dr. Prakash Singh Shekhawat said that this MoU will give impetus to agricultural research and extension activities.
