  • PM Narendra Modi to Address Nation At 6 pm

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tweeted that he will address the nation at 6 pm today. "Will be sharing a message with my fellow citizens at 6 pm this evening," PM Modi wrote in his tweet, urging citizens to tune in.

    Prime Minister did not specify but many speculated he would speak on the Coronavirus situation in the country on the verge of a series of festivals and the approaching winter. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tweeted that he will address the nation at 6 pm today.   • Indo-China Border Dispute: Chinese Soldier Held in Ladakh Won't be Released for Few Days

    The Chinese soldier caught by the Indian Army in eastern Ladakh yesterday won't be released ''for the next few days,'' sources said today.
    The soldier, Corporal Wang Ya Long, was caught in Demchok and is being questioned by Chinese experts before he is handed back to the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), the sources said.

    Ramagiri SwarikaHyderabad law student has written the Bhagavad Gita on 4,042 rice grains in 150 hours. She is recognised as India's first micro-artist and awarded the International Order Book of records in 2017. Further in 2019, she has received a national award from the North Delhi Cultural Academy for her art work.  

  • 81 candidates in fray for by-polls to 8 assembly seats in Gujarat 

    Chief Electoral Officer (CEO)'s office has finalised the list of 81 candidates who will be contesting the Gujarat by-elections for the eight vacant seats in the Assembly. The by-elections, slated to be held on November 3, have been necessitated by the resignations of Congress legislators. 

    The 81 candidates are in the fray for the AbdasaKaprada (Scheduled Tribe), Karjan, Gadhada (Scheduled Caste), Morbi, Dhari, Limdi and Dangs (ST) seats. Further, Twenty one candidates had withdrawn their candidature before the last day of withdrawal on Monday.
