Jeff Rowe Named Chief Executive Officer of Syngenta Group
Syngenta Group’s Board of Directors has elected Jeff Rowe as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Syngenta Group, effective January 1, 2024. Rowe is currently President, Syngenta Crop Protection, Syngenta Group’s largest business unit. He was previously President, Syngenta Seeds, where he executed a successful turnaround of the Seeds business. Erik Fyrwald, Syngenta Group CEO, will continue as CEO until the end of the year, when he will retire after seven and a half years with the company. He will continue as Advisor to the Chairman of Syngenta Group and remain on the Board of Directors.

Dabur Products Allegedly Causing Cancer in US, Canada, Over 5k Complaints Lodged
Dabur India's foreign subsidiaries are under the scanner for manufacturing cancer-causing products in the United States and Canada, where complainants are allegedly suffering from ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, and other related health issues due to hair-relaxer products. Over 5,400 cases have been registered against Dabur in both state and federal courts. While the complainants have made a legal move, Dabur on the contrary refused the allegations saying, "These allegations are based on unsubstantiated and incomplete study".

'Purpose is not What to Do but What You Can do for the Community': Asst Commissioner Sunil Kumar
The Assistant Commissioner of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, Sunil Kumar, attended KJ Chaupal at Krishi Jagran on Friday, October 20, ahead of the Millionnaire Farmer of India Awards. Mr Kumar has overseen the work of Kisan Credit Card and Fasal Bima Yojana. The Founder and Editor-in-chief of Krishi Jagran, MC Dominic, welcomed him saying, "he is an exceptional figure, who is always there to help people, unlike many government officials".

DRDO RAC Scientist Recruitment 2023 at rac.gov.in: Registration for 51 Posts will Commence on October 21
The Defence Research and Development Organisation, commonly known as DRDO, through its Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC), is opening up opportunities for individuals interested in Scientist positions. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can submit your application online by visiting the official DRDO RAC website at rac.gov.in. This recruitment initiative aims to occupy a total of 51 positions within the organization. For those interested in applying, the registration process is scheduled to commence on October 21, 2023, and will conclude on November 17, 2023.

Digital Crop Survey to Begin in July 2024 as Centre Instructs States
The Indian government is taking steps to modernize the process of estimating crop area and production, acknowledging that the current system is largely manual and prone to delays and errors. The Centre, which oversees this effort, has encouraged states and Union Territories (UTs) to embrace the Digital Crop Survey system starting from the next agricultural year in July. The Digital Crop Survey is an initiative to digitize and automate the process of collecting agricultural data.
