  • Amazon To Set up 3 Solar Farms and 23 Solar Rooftop Projects in India

    Amazon on Wednesday announced that it would build three solar farms in Rajasthan with a combined capacity of 420 megawatts. This will be the first time that the e-commerce major will be establishing a solar farm in the country. According to reports, power purchase agreements (PPAs) have been signed for three projects that include a 210 MW project to be developed by ReNew Power, a 100 MW project to be developed by Amp Energy India & a 110 MW project to be developed by Brookfield Renewable Partners.

  • GADVASU to Honor Progressive Livestock Farmers at Pashu Palan Mela 2022

    Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana will confer three awards to progressive livestock farmers of the state in the upcoming Pashu Palan Mela on the 23rd of September 2022. Dr. Parkash Singh Brar, Director of Extension Education said that GADVASU is making all efforts for the development of the livestock sector in the state by strengthening its extension and outreach programs.

  • 18.5 Lakh Cows Affected, 67000 Killed Due to Lumpy Skin Disease So Far

    According to Union Minister for Animal Husbandry Sanjeev Balyan, the lumpy skin disease has so far affected around 18.5 lakh cattle nationwide and 12.5 lakh of these cases are from Rajasthan. The virus, which mostly affects cows, buffaloes, and even deer, has spread to 15 states, but the Union Minister, who is currently on a two-day tour to Rajasthan, said the situation there is serious. He said that the Center has given the Rajasthan government around 30 lakh doses of the anti-virus vaccine.

  • Horizon Industrial Parks Sets Up First Cold Chain Facility in Bangalore for IG International

    Horizon Industrial Parks, a portfolio of Grade-A logistics parks in India owned and managed by Blackstone Real Estate funds, has set up the first cold chain facility in Bangalore for IG International, one of India’s leading fresh fruit importers. Powered by solar energy, the facility in Horizon Industrial Park will be one of the largest cold chain terminals in India with the capacity to handle more than 200 refrigerated containers per day. The facility is expected to be completed by mid-2023.
