IMD predicts heavy to very heavy rainfalls in various states
India Meteorological Department predicted heavy to very heavy rain falls in different states in the next five days, till 27th June. The states that are likely to receive heavy rains fall are: Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Manipur, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Assam, Tripura and Mizoram.

Ujjain govt. says No Vaccine, No Salary
In a motive to achieve the target of 100% vaccination against COVID-19. The Ujjain district administration in Madhya Pradesh issued an order which says the salaries of government employees will not be disbursed, if they are not inoculated by the end of July.

Government approves allocation of additional Food grains
The Government approved the allocation of additional food grains under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana under this scheme 5 kg per person per month gets the free of cost ration. The scheme is extended for another period of five months from July to November.

TN government rejects ONGC’s project
The government of Tamil Nadu says, its Environment Impact Assessment Authority rejected the ONGC’s project which was about the “drill and explore 10 oil wells” in Ariyalur and five other wells in Cuddalore districts. The industries minister said that they won’t allow ONGC’s project in any district under Tamil Nadu Protected Agricultural Zone Development Act, 2020.

US Agriculture Department sends payment to Black Farmers but lawsuit of white farmers halts
The Department of Agriculture US scheduled to begin sending out payments to the Black & minority farmers this month, as part of a $4bn loan forgiveness program included in $1.9tn coronavirus relief bill that passed Congress in March. But, lawsuit on behalf of white farmers accusing Biden administration of discrimination and temporarily stopped the checks, prompting dismay among Black farmers & campaigners.
