  • Harvesting India Pvt Ltd Forays into Branded Agriculture-Based Products

    Harvesting India Pvt Ltd, India's leading agriculture technology platform, announced the launch of its Harvesting Farmer Network (HFN) branded agriculture-based products today. The first branded product to enter the market would be "HFN" mustard oil. Following this would be whole wheat flour, refined wheat flour, semolina, porridge, and many more. HFN agricultural products are made from high-quality agricultural produce sourced from small-scale farmers in India. HFN assists farmers in growing a carefully selected variety of carefully chosen seeds and a package of practice, resulting in exceptional output. 

     

  • High Commission of India in Abuja Organized Millets Food Festival & Cooking Contest at Chancery Premises

    The event was organised in collaboration with a high-level Indian delegation led by Abhilaksh Likhi, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, who is in Abuja for the event. To promote millets, several restaurants set up stalls and served food (prepared with millets) to participants on this occasion. The event also featured exhibits from IITA, ICRISAT, Niger State, the Farmers Association of Nigeria, and the Nigerian Export Promotion Council. In addition to this showcasing, many partner organisations set up food stalls, including a Niger State stall showcasing Niger State Cuisine.

  • 7th Pay Commission: Govt Employees Expect 8th Pay Commission Announcement in Budget 2023

    The announcement of the 8th Pay Commission by the Center during the presentation of the Union Budget for 2023–24 could be a major development for thousands of central government employees. The budget will be presented on February 1 by Nirmala Sitharaman, the union's minister of finance. For quite some time, there has been a call for the 8th Pay Commission to replace the 7th Pay Commission's regulations. According to the most recent sources, there is growing speculation among employees of the central government that the 8th Pay Commission may be announced in the budget.

     

  • Walmart Foundation to Invest Over USD 3.5 mn to Strengthen FPOs in MP & West Bengal

    This includes grants of USD 1.7 million to ACCESS Development Services for economic empowerment and income enhancement of farmers in Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal, USD 1.09 million to SRIJAN to improve the lives of small and marginal farmers and promote women as rural entrepreneurs, and USD 1.1 million to Action for Social Advancement (ASA) in Madhya Pradesh. These initiatives are expected to benefit 39 FPOs and over 60,000 smallholder farmers.
