    ‘Krishikarna’, a project to encourage hi-tech farming has been launched in Pallikkal panchayat of Thiruvananthapuram. 10 farmers in the panchayat are developing mini polyhouses under the project.

     

  • CBSE: Class 12th result to declared soon

    The Central Board of Secondary Education would release class 12th result soon on its official website. CBSE on 28th July Wednesday, said that the results are coming soon but the board is yet to confirm the 12th results date & time.

  • PM Modi: Ensures Safe habitats for the Tigers

    As International Tiger Day marked on 29th July, PM Modi said, India is committed to ensuring the safe habitats for its tigers & nurturing tiger-friendly eco system. He said, India is a home to over 70% of the tiger population globally. PM Modi also reiterated India’s strategy of the tiger conservation attaches topmost importance to involving the local communities.

     

  • After 8.2 Magnitude Earthquake, USGS warns of Tsunami

    A shallow 8.2 magnitude earthquake struck off the Alaskan peninsula on 28th July Wednesday, the United States Geological Survey said, prompting a tsunami warning. The earthquake hit 56 miles southeast of the town of Perryville, the USGS said, with a tsunami warning in effect for south Alaska & the Alaskan peninsula.

  • Cognizant to hire 1 lakh New Employees & 30,000 Freshers this year

    The US-based information technology consulting company Cognizant expects to hire about 1 lakh people this year amid high attrition rates. The company said that it expects to welcome around 30,000 new graduates this year & is planning to make 45,000 offers to freshers in India for the year 2022.

  • Center: Planning to Follow up Urban Transformation Scheme

    Centre is planning to bring a follow up scheme to the existing Atal Mission for Rejuvenation & Urban Transformation, as to covers only 60% of urban population & the Housing & Urban Affairs Ministry wants to extent its coverage to 100% of the areas.

  • Delhi Government to extend surgery scheme for Mucormycosis Patients

    On 28th July Wednesday, Health Minister Satyendra Jain said that the city government had extended its cashless surgery scheme of Delhi Arogya Kosh for the treatment of patients, who are suffering from mucormycosis. Residents of Delhi, undergoing the treatment of Mucormycosis in the Delhi Government Hospital under his cashless scheme for the treatment.

     

  • Fitch: India continues to bring volatility to the Global Sugar Market

    On 29th July Thursday, the Fitch Solutions revised up again its latest 2021 price forecast for sugar as prices have remained more supported than it was expecting amid bad weather in Brazil. Now it forecasts the prices to average USc16.5/lb in 2021 compared with USc14.7/lb previously. This suggests that the sugar prices will average at their highest level since 2016 in 2021.
