  • Heavy rains likely in these four States:IMD

    On 2nd August Monday, the India Meteorological Department released a weather forecast for the next 5 days. As per its official statement, moderate to heavy rainfall will continue to lash many parts of central, western & northern parts of country. States in the northern part of India such Uttarakhand, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh & parts of Uttar Pradesh will get intense spell of rains at the isolated places.

     

  • China's grain production decreases due to flood

    Henan’s grain production accounts for 10.19% of China’s total output. The severe flooding has inundated hundreds of thousands of hectares of fertile land in Henan Province. According to the latest official statistics, 215200 hectares of crops are damaged, 77900 hectares are affected, and 10300 hectares have no harvest.

     

  • PM Narendra Modi to launch e-RUPI

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch e-RUPI, a person and purpose specific digital payment solution. In its statement, the PMO said e-RUPI is a cashless and contactless instrument for digital payment. It is a QR code or SMS string-based e-voucher, which is delivered to the mobile of the beneficiaries.

  • NTPC Announces New Job Vacancies

    The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) announced several vacancies for Executive & Senior Executive posts. The Indian government-owned electric utility company has informed that the interested candidates can apply through the NTPC’s official website.

     

  • Culture Ministry Launches Unique Programme To Celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on 15 Aug

    Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated across the nation to commemorate the India’s 75 years of Independence. There are several events being organized to enlist the participation of the people in this commemoration. One such initiative is connected with the National Anthem; it has been taken up by the Ministry of Culture for celebrating the Independence Day this year to instill the pride & unity among Indians all around.

     

  • IRCTC to operate ‘Bharat Darshan Special Tourist Train’ from 29th August

    The Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will operate ‘Bharat Darshan Special Tourist Train’ from 29th August 2021. It will cover places such as Ahmedabad – Hyderabad - Nishkalank Mahadev Sea Temple – Amritsar - Jaipur & Statue of Unity. The total cost of tour package will start from Rs 11340. This tour will start on 29th August & end on 10th September.
