Over 2.5 crore citizens apply for 18+ vaccine through Co-Win
Over 2.5 Crore citizens across the country have booked appointments for their COVID jab in last 2 days. Government has allowed anyone above the age of 18 to apply for jab appointments. Although all these appointments are for May, the applications started from 28th April.

Over 250 LMT of wheat procured so far under MSP
Procurement of wheat has been going on all over northern India and the government has procured over 250 MT of the Rabi harvest from these northern states. Over 25 lakh farmers have benefitted from these MSP procurements. Other crops like paddy, pulses, oilseeds, copra are also being procured from farmers willing to sell their produce at MSP.

All major ports ready for any Corona emergency
All sea ports across the country are prepared to handle Corona cases. Most of these ports have hospitals close by, which have been told to stay ready for any emergencies.

Drought resistant plants for Iranian Oases
Sand dunes are threatening to spread and bury Oases across the Kerman Province in Iran. This has been caused by soil erosion and to avoid this plants with little need for irrigation and capable of fighting droughts are being planted across these oases, to keep the soil together.

Beautiful tulips in Netherland’s park but no visitors allowed
Keukenhof park is one of the major tourist attractions of Netherlands, millions of visitors come to see the hundreds of thousands of multi coloured tulips in their flowering season and the park earns significant revenue. However due to Corona pandemic across the globe, no visitors are allowed in parks. The park is hoping to generate some revenue through videos and reports and the management hoped 2022 will be the year when they start recovering their losses.

France to donate millions to Ivory Coast cotton and cocoa farms
France and Ivory Coast have a long history, as this nation was a colony of France before receiving independence from it. France still shows interest in Ivory Coast and is planning to donate millions to their cotton and cocoa farms, so as to build a good agri-based-industry in the country.

Famine in Madagascar
Madagascar is suffering from drought 5 years in a row, leading to malnutrition in the population. This year the drought has been accompanied by sand storms which have killed he winter crops, leading to even more human suffering. World Food programme is trying to help them but they are still trying to arrange funds for the relief programme.

‘The National Conference on Agriculture for Kharif Campaign-2021’
‘The National Conference on Agriculture for Kharif Campaign-2021’ was held today with inauguration by the Agriculture minister. This meeting was held virtually, to look into proper management in the kharif season and the right Agri inputs. That is, the government and the farmers must keep themselves ready for all possibilities and be ready to react to any adverse or favorable conditions. Other ministers and senior officials also attended the meeting.

Remdesivir exports banned and imports encouraged
The Indian government has banned the export of Remdesivir, so as to keep its price in check and to make sure that the country has enough for its own use. Imports of Remdesivir and related components are free from Customs duty, so that Indian buyers will be encouraged by the additional profits.

Protesting farmers have said through their spokesperson, that they will return to their home states only after victory. They have no plans to stop the protests till what they have come here for is achieved.
