Dr. Mandaviya's Virtual Interaction with Agri Ministers of States & UTs: Special Package for Farmers Announced
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given its approval for a comprehensive package of innovative schemes aimed at benefiting farmers. With a total budget of Rs. 3,68,676.7 crore, these schemes prioritize the welfare and economic well-being of farmers while promoting sustainable agricultural practices.

Consumer Affairs Ministry Urges to Boost Kharif Onion Supply with Enhanced Incentives
In an effort to prevent a surge in onion prices during the winter season, the consumer affairs ministry has requested the agriculture ministry to provide additional incentives and support for Kharif onion production, according to a top government official. Typically, onion prices skyrocket during the winter months when stored rabi onions are depleted, and fresh kharif onions cannot be stored. Currently, farmers are engaged in the sowing of kharif onion crops.

Agri Experts Encourage Millet Cultivation in Jharkhand's Kharif Season
Amidst the bountiful rainfall brought by the monsoon season in Jharkhand, agricultural experts are urging farmers to consider cultivating millets during this kharif season in order to maximize their income. Following a week of widespread rainfall, the monsoon rainfall deficit in Jharkhand has significantly decreased from 87 percent on June 19, when the monsoon first arrived in the state, to 43 percent as of Friday. This change in weather conditions has provided a favorable environment for agricultural activities.
