  • Andhra Pradesh, Odisha on High Alert Due to Cyclone

    Cyclone Update: From November 30 (Tuesday) to December 2 (Thursday), heavy rain is forecasted in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh (Thursday). There's a decent possibility that a low-pressure region will form over the south Andaman Sea, which will eventually develop into a cyclone. Odisha and Andhra Pradesh are expected to be hit by the cyclonic storm. Mrutunjay Mohapatra, Director General of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), also predicted that precipitation is expected in Odisha from December 2 to 5 and that a cyclone might emerge in the Bay of Bengal in the first week of December.

  • Centre Adopting the Anti-Farmer Policies

    While slamming the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Centre, Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday said that the central government is adopting the anti-farmer policies & running away from its social responsibility. CM KCR dared that Union Minister Kishan Reddy to convince the Centre to procure Par Boiled rice.

  • Coal India Ltd Invests Rs 19,650cr by FY24 to Boost Rail Based Transportation Capacity

    The State-owned Coal India Ltd (CIL) plans to invest Rs 19,650 crore by FY24 to boost its rail-based transportation capacity by an additional 330 million tonne by constructing the rail links & setting up joint ventures. World’s largest coal miner’s rail mobility play comes in the backdrop of the recent shortages that had raised its concerns. The situation since then has improved with the fuel stocks at 136 coal-based power projects, totaling 166.109 gigawatts sufficient for 9 days.
