  • Surplus sugar in India

    Sugar production has seen great rise in India. Over 34 million tonnes of sugar was produced this year. Hence this surplus production has made some of the sugar mills stop their production. Government has also stepped back on its policy of providing loans at lower rates to these sugar producers. Sugar and sugarcanes had to be diverted for ethanol production.

  • Hyderabad recognized as Tree City of the World

    120 cities were recognized by FAO as the Tree cities of the world. Hyderabad is only Indian city in the list. Trees filter out Carbon dioxide thus purifying the air we breathe. To be listed in this list you need not only a green cover over the city but also need to have proper planning, management and maintenance of the trees and plants.   

  • Bed availability for Corona cases in Delhi

    Delhi CM, Arvind Kejriwal has tweeted that his Government has ordered more beds (in General and ICU categories) to be reserved for Corona patients. This order will be limited to few hospitals to start with.

  • Pesticides more harmful than useful in long run

    Pesticides are used on almost two-third of crops grown around the world. Although these repel the pests which may cause damage to your food but they damage your food themselves due to their inorganic chemical composition. They are responsible for water and air pollution on the planet and must be avoided to improve the quality of life on the planet. However in order to achieve this suitable alternatives will have to be found.

  • Government announces incentives for food processing industry

    Government has announced incentives worth Rs 10,900 Crores which will be distributed over a period of 8 years. This sector is expected to increase employment opportunities and earn India foreign currencies. The successful entities will be rewarded and those needing support will be compensated.

  • Pakistan opens its door to imports from India

    Pakistan is suffering from shortage of Cotton and Sugar. They have banned the import of these from India. These measures were usually adapted to hurt the economy of its more productive neighbour. However these shortages have made Pakistan change its policy inviting limited amount of imports from India.

  • Abhay Singh Chautala urges farmers to get more aggressive

    Abhay Singh Chautala, General Secretary, INLD  has told the farmers to adapt aggressive and violent measures against the BJP leaders in the state. Supporting BJP in Haryana, the ruling party at center who is not agreeing to farmers demand, can be a risky business especially in Haryana which has a number of protesting  farmers and a huge supporter base for these protests.

  • TMC tells all parties to unite against BJP

    TMC has written letters to all parties in opposition to unite to defeat BJP. TMC sees this as the only way of disposing BJP from power. The excuse for such letter is that Government is not executing its tasks responsibly, although no major cases of corruption have come against the Government in this term.
