• Van Dhan Yojana generates employment for Odisha tribals

  The tribal regions of Odisha are now working on producing value added products like plates, cups made of leaves, oils, honey, aampapad, pickles and others under Van Dhan Yojana. This will generate employment opportunities in these tribal areas.

• 500 medical Oxygen plants to be installed across India

  Government has released funds for installing 500 Medical Oxygen plants in hospitals across the country. This technology was developed by DRDO. Tata Advanced Systems Limited has been asked to manufacture 332 new plants to be delivered in May.

• Crops procured under MSP to be distributed to the poor of the country

  The crops procured under MSP and stored in FCI depots will be distributed across the country to the poor under government's different schemes. This distribution has become more important this year due to the Lockdown situation across the country.

• Government asks its employees to get vaccinated

  Indian government has asked all of its employees to get vaccinated, as now all citizens above the age of 18 are eligible for vaccines. However, Corona protocols are to be followed even after vaccinations, like social distancing, washing hands and wearing masks.

• Farming continues uninterrupted across UK countryside

  Despite Corona Lockdown farming activities have not stopped across UK Countryside. The reasons for this are the big distance between the farms and the requirement of food items in the country.

• Uttarakhand and Telangana to receive heavy rainfall

  Nepal has seen a 50 times increase in Corona cases in a month. The whole situation was in control at that time and these new infections are suspected to be from India.

• Overseas Cricketers stranded as IPL suspended

  Australian cricketers are stranded as Australia has banned entry into the country for persons having resided in India. The IPL has been suspended due to Corona cases in players. New Zealand cricketers are also stuck here while most of the England cricketers will be home by the weekend.

  Sales of herbicides and insecticides has increased in Northern America. Corteva has seen it's sale increase by 6 percent in this quarter.
