Arboriculture

Both a science and a profession, arboriculture focuses on taking care of trees, shrubs, and other woody plants.

The study of how trees develop, react to their surroundings, and respond to human intervention is known as arboriculture. Using methods to manage trees, such as choosing which trees to grow, administering fertilizer, spraying to prevent insects and diseases, cabling and bracing, identifying tree maladies, removing trees, and trimming, is called arboriculture.

Arborists are those who engage in the practice of arboriculture.
