Biennial crops

Any flowering plant that goes through its entire life cycle in two growing seasons is Biennial. Biennials develop their roots, stems, and leaves throughout their initial growing season. They produce flowers, fruits, and seeds during the second growing season, after which they wither and die. Native to temperate regions, biennial plants generally spend the winter underground.
