Biopesticide

Biopesticides are pesticides generated from natural materials such as animals, plants, microorganisms, and minerals. Canola oil and baking soda, for example, have pesticidal properties and are termed biopesticides.

Biopesticides are often less hazardous than conventional pesticides. Biopesticides are frequently effective in very little amounts and degrade fast, resulting in smaller exposures and avoiding the environmental concerns caused by conventional pesticides.
