Entomology

Insects are the subject of entomology. The suffix -logy, which is frequently used, literally means "the study of," and it comes from the Greek word for "knowledge." Anthropology is the study of human civilizations, psychology is the study of the mind, and theology is the study of divine creatures. The branch of biology that focuses on bugs is created by adding the Greek word entomon, which means insect.
