Plastic Mulch

Plastic mulch refers to a synthetic covering composed of thin layers of plastic polymers. It finds application in both agricultural crop cultivation and landscaping, serving identical purposes to natural mulches. These objectives encompass the prevention of weed growth, efficient water conservation, and the preservation of soil structure. Within this context, plants emerge through regularly spaced apertures that are cut into the plastic film. This technique is most prevalent in row-based crop systems and is frequently combined with drip irrigation methods.
