Here comes good news for lakhs of farmers and gardeners of Himachal Pradesh. As we are well aware, that in this time of economic crisis, farmers and the gardeners is not in a position to repay the loan taken under the Kisan Credit Card (KCC). In this situation, a big relief is given to them.
KCC Loan Repay Extended till March 2021:
Now the farmers and gardeners can repay the loan taken under Kisan Credit Card by March 2021. In other words, they have been granted time till March 2021. Adding to it, KCC account of farmers will not be declared NPA. Farmers will not have to repay the amount of interest calculated by banks this month. However, if the farmers want to repay it voluntarily, they can.
But, the farmers who do not want to give can postpone till March next year. As per sources, separate loan accounts of such farmers will be opened for the interest amount. However, a separate interest will also have to be paid on it. It is likely that eight and half percent interest will be charged on different accounts opened for the interest amount.
It is to be noted that this year, the apple crop has also decreased in many areas in Himachal. In such a situation, many gardeners are not able to repay the amount of interest between daily expenses. Therefore, the above decision to extend the repaying time of KCC loan is being taken after the instructions of RBI. At present, about 9 lakh farmers have taken kisan credit card loans.

Method to apply for Kisan Credit Card Online:

First, go to the official bank website

Choose ‘Kisan Credit Card’ from the available list of credit cards.

Click on ‘Apply’ button.

Now, you will be redirected to online application page.

Fill all required details and tap on ‘Submit’ button.

After you submit the application, system will automatically generate an application reference number.

You can make a note of the same and use it for all future needs.
Please note- If you are eligible, then the bank will process the application and call you within 3 - 4 working days. They will let you know about the further steps in the application process. Once it is done, you will be told about the documents needed to process the application. Then, an appointment will be fixed for document collection. After the successful verification of the documents, the bank will send the KCC to the registered address.
